My work is about contemplation, discovery and embracing the unknown. I am intrigued by the colors and patterns found in nature, particularly the metamorphosis occurring over time. I examine physical marks generated by living things and inanimate objects, searching beyond the surface for what lies beneath. My work is at once simple and complicated, balancing precariously between the call of nature and technology’s siren song. Just as the elements and passing of time have left their mark, I am seeking to leave my own imprint celebrating the beauty to be found in the patina of age.
